I would love if you could help me locate my 1st cousin Sara Yarborough. Her mother Lavinia was my mothers older sister. My Grandmother Marie Williams introduced us back in 1960 something when we were both kids. Since both our mothers are deceased I would only like to say hello.

I too was at Stella Marris sometme between 1960 and 1963. I recall owing a friend 1d for an ice lolly that you could buy from the Sisters. We lived at the YMCA and I was friends with an Indian lad called Edo (Edward?). I remember a chap called Tim Sing who worked at the YMCA.

Hi Patricia, I lost 12 pounds in the first 17 days. I didn't starve myself, but did cut out carbs and fat. Whenever I had intense work out days, I would eat oatmeal or Cheerios.

Now I'm in cycle two where I alternate the carb days with the high-protein days. I feel so much better.

Good luck with your eating plan too. Sounds like you've hit your stride.

Kudos to you, Michelle. A fitness instructor? Wow, I'm really impressed. I figured you must have found something that worked for you. Like you, I've found only middling success with popular diet plans. Right now, I'm doing a natural carb carve suppressant with a protein shake replacement for one meal a day. Down about 5 lbs in the past week, so I'm fairly pleased, but we'll see how it goes.

Oh how I wish I was there!! Unfortunately, running a fever and missed the phenomenal Ms. Lewis. Sounds like she gave you a great kick start (who knew you of all people needed a kick start!) and you're going for the gold. I feel like I'm on my own most of the time, but I'm kick starting however I can. You go girl. I enjoy your books very much.

Hi Michelle,
I was a student at Stella Marris School between 1962 and 1963. My late Father worked at the Botanical Gardens in an UNDP/FAO Project to Map the Soils of Guyana (please see more info. http://library.wur.nl/isric/)
I am now living in Brazil.

I would like to re-visit Guyana again.
